On 25 October 2019, Learning Links was privileged to host Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales at our Peakhurst Centre and Preschool.
The Governor had a tour of our Preschool, spoke with children and families and had important discussions with Learning Links’ CEO, Birgitte Maibom and Chair of the Learning Links Board, Gregory Wallace, about education – an area she is deeply committed to supporting. Having grown up in Hurstville, it was wonderful for the Governor to share in some of our recent local successes.
Preschool students Mateo and Natalie certainly enjoyed her visit!
Thank you for everyone who attended, including our other special guests The Hon David Coleman – Member for Banks, Mark Coure MP, Local Member for Oatley, Cr Kevin Greene, Mayor of Georges River Council, Morris Iemma, former Premier of NSW, and Brian Cloney and Kylie Di Cesare from Club Central Hurstville.
