With our Dentist Visit at preschool this week , did you know teeth cleaning alone isn’t a guarantee against tooth decay? Diet and the way you feed your child are also important.

The Yanada groups have been learning about healthy food options and recently made hommus using the recipe below.

Hommus Recipe

Ingredients:

Can of chick peas

¼ cup of lemon juice

1 small garlic clove minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ teaspoon of ground cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

2 to 3 tablespoon of water

Dash of ground paprika. (to serve)

Method:

Combine all ingredients (but paprika) in a blender. Mix until smooth.

Spoon out into serving dish and add paprika on top.

We served our dip with carrot but other vegetables or corn chips are great as well.
