The Yanada groups have been learning about healthy food options and recently made hommus using the recipe below.


Can of chick peas

¼ cup of lemon juice

1 small garlic clove minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ teaspoon of ground cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

2 to 3 tablespoon of water

Dash of ground paprika. (to serve)


Combine all ingredients (but paprika) in a blender. Mix until smooth.

Spoon out into serving dish and add paprika on top.

We served our dip with carrot but other vegetables or corn chips are great as well.
